Bishop Paul's Lent Addresses 2012 :

for the Nottingham North & South Deaneries :
Every year Bishop Paul gives a series of  Lent talks in a deanery. This is a significant piece of annual episcopal teaching ministry and it is his hope that it will feature highly in the Lent programmes that we offer in our parishes. This year he will be taking the theme of 'Prayer'. They will take place on Thursdays 1st, 8th and 15th March at 7.30pm and will be hosted by churches in Wollaton. We are hoping to record the talks so that they will be downloadable on the deanery website for small group discussion and individual viewing. For dates and venues, please visit the 'dates' page.

Diocesan Youth Summit :

Here’s a really exciting opportunity to invite young people to on Saturday 4th February 9.45-2pm at Holy Trinity Church, Southwell, NG25 0LD
It will be our own diocesan youth summit! This is based on a national event that took place in March 2011 when 150 young people from all across the country met with over 30 Bishops and both Archbishops. Small groups of adults and young adults were encouraged to talk about their hopes for the future of the church from their perspective and to listen to one another.  It was a really exciting day and if you’d like to see more then check out www.regenerationsummit.org
Here in Southwell & Nottingham we’ll gather to meet with young people aged 11-23 to discuss in small groups, inspire and encourage one another, listen to and learn from one another and worship together.
Bishop Paul says, “This is part of our commitment as a diocese to growing disciples of all ages.”
Refreshments and lunch will be provided.  Young people need to register their attendance by parents and guardians completing and returning the attached consent form, including any dietary requirements, to angela.heywood@southwell.anglican.org . Please reply asap.
